The old town: narrow lanes, courtyards and stone stairs

Upper Paphos is a completely different job from the seafront. Around Ktima market, Moutallos and the streets climbing towards the municipal gardens you get stone houses with internal courtyards, external staircases, low doorways and lanes where a van can pass only if nobody has parked badly that morning. Half the work here is planning: which end of the street to enter from, where the van can legally stand, and how far the crew has to carry each item to reach it.

We plan that before the day rather than discovering it at 8:00. When you send your photo, add the street name and, if you can, a photo of the front of the building. If the van cannot get within twenty metres of your door we will say so in the chat, agree an early slot when the lanes are still empty, and bring trolleys. The extra carrying is already accounted for in the written quote — nothing is recalculated on the doorstep.

Anavargos, Konia, Mesa Chorio and Armou

Behind the town the character changes again to family houses with garages, storerooms, workshops and a strip of garden. These are volume jobs rather than access jobs. A typical Anavargos or Konia clearance is a garage that has quietly filled up over twenty years: bicycle frames, paint tins, a dead chest freezer, broken garden furniture, offcuts of timber and a wall of cardboard boxes that nobody has opened since the move.

We sort as we load rather than tipping everything into one heap. Furniture and appliances still worth using are set aside for donation, metals and electronics go into the right recycling stream, green waste goes to the Green Point, and only what genuinely cannot be reused leaves for disposal at recycling points and municipal facilities. You get the floor space back and a swept floor at the end of it.

Marathounta and Armou sit a little further out on the hill roads. We treat those as the same zone and quote them the same way — the only practical difference is that we prefer to bundle them with another job in the area, which usually means a morning slot.

Offices, shops and the market quarter

Paphos town is where the district's offices, clinics, small shops and cafés are. Commercial clear-outs here are almost always about timing: nobody wants a crew carrying filing cabinets through a waiting room at eleven in the morning.
